Welcome

Our courses have been developed with employability in mind. Along with gaining knowledge and skills in their chosen subject area, students also develop transferrable skills that will help them stand out in the jobs market and make them a valuable asset to any employer.

The School covers a broad range of research themes, from biomolecular science to ecology and sport. All our research feeds directly into our teaching, ensuring our courses are relevant and reflect the latest developments in the field.

Natural and Applied Sciences

We are a close-knit community of academics, researchers, and students dedicated to the study of natural and applied sciences. As well as offering a range of exciting courses, we are also actively involved in cutting-edge research, consultancy, and knowledge exchange.

Sport, Exercise, and Rehabilitation Sciences

We offer a range of innovative and highly career-relevant undergraduate and postgraduate degrees. In studying with us students engage daily with world-leading research scientists, expert professional practitioners, and highly motivated and experienced technical staff.

Psychology

Psychology is one of the most diverse and fascinating subjects. We have an equally diverse team of research-active staff who work at the forefront of their areas, from the mental world to the real world. We bring that expertise to our one-to-one tutorials, as well as our lectures, seminars, and practical classes.

Accredited by the British Psychological Society

Our course is accredited by the British Psychological Society (BPS), ensuring quality standards. Accreditation from the British Psychological Society gives qualifying graduates the Graduate Basis for Chartered Membership (GBC), which is the first step towards becoming a Chartered Psychologist. It allows graduates to pursue postgraduate vocational training in areas such as clinical, educational and health psychology.
