Get to know your university library

A warm welcome to Canterbury Christ Church University Library Services.

For all users new to our libraries, we have gathered together a list of top tips and links to help you navigate our offer. 

If you are a new student you will likely have a tour arranged as part of your induction. However we offer an induction to the library all year round.

Book a tour

  • If you missed a tour as part of your induction, joined the University later or simply need a refresher, staff and students can book tours of Augustine House. To accommodate tours during main induction period, self-booked tours are unavailable between 2 September - 20 October 2024.
  • At Salomons, simply contact the library team to arrange a tour.
  • Staff are offered a tour as part of the main staff induction events. Academic staff are encouraged to make contact with the Faculty Learning Skills team.

Anyone can take a self-guided tour of the library:

Please note: The Canterbury self-guided tour will be unavailable on the 17 and 18 September 2024.

Take the tour whenever you want. At Augustine House pick up a map from the lollipop stand in the reception area. Learn to navigate the building and watch short videos on how to make use of our facilities.
