Connecting to the internet

Visitor PC (Augustine House)

Members of the public including paid library members, ex staff, Alumni and SCONUL access members can use the internet, access OpenOffice packages and a range of online resources via the visitor PC on the Ground Floor of Augustine House, opposite the Library Point enquiry desk.  The PC has a USB port, so you can save material to a memory stick and printing is available.

You can only use these resources for educational purposes (ie teaching and learning, private study or research), not for commercial purposes. You are expected to abide by the Library regulations and IT regulations.

If you would like to use the visitor PC, ask a member of staff on the Library Point on the Ground Floor in Augustine House. You will have to fill in a form with some personal details (see privacy notice) to register. Once you have registered, staff will log you into the PC and a web browser will be available for you to use.

You can use the visitor PC between 9am – 6pm, Monday to Friday and 11am to 5pm at weekends* for at least 30 minutes. If another visitor is waiting to use the PC you may be asked to finish your session at the end of the 30 minute period.

Please note that visitors cannot access the library during our busy 24/7 exam and assessment period, details of which will be posted here. Paid library members, ex staff, Alumni and SCONUL access members can continue to use the library and its services throughout.

Visitor PC (Drill Hall library)

Visitor PC access is available at the Drill Hall Library, but no printing or scanning. PC access can be requested at the library Reception Desk between Mon-Fri 9am - 5pm and weekends 10.30am - 4pm.
