MPhil/PhD research in Geography takes place in the University.

Research interests cover the range of physical, environmental and human geography. Particular strengths are in GIS and cartography, economic and finance geography, and urban and regional studies. The University has GIS facilities and its own dedicated suite of research laboratories suited to research in biogeography and environmental monitoring.

Professor Peter Vujakovic:

  • cartography: maps in media/geopolitics

  • biogeography and disturbance ecology/biodiversity.

Dr Katie Wooldridge:

  • glaciology
  • GIS and remote sensing: environmental applications
