We are pleased to announce that Higher Education Achievement Reports (HEARs) will be available online for students who complete their course from this year. This will make it easier for you to share your HEAR with potential employers and other educational institutions.

The university provides a HEAR to most students who complete a Canterbury Christ Church University award. A HEAR is an academic transcript, i.e. an official record of your university achievements, including your academic results (module titles and marks, together with the final award title and classification where applicable) plus some non-award related achievements, e.g. modern foreign language modules that you have studied alongside your course.

Once you have completed your studies and your HEAR is ready, you will receive an email inviting you to create an online account with Gradintelligence (one of our partner organisations). This is how Canterbury Christ Church University students who complete their studies from 2023 onwards will access their HEAR. Previously, all HEARs were supplied as paper documents, with a fee charged for any further copies.

Your Gradintelligence account creation email will be sent to your personal email address. For this reason, please ensure that you keep your contact details in MyRecord up-to-date even after you complete your studies. You can access MyRecord even after your computing account has been de-activated, by using the ‘Applicant’ login option. Find out more.

If you received your final results last month, look out for an email to your personal email address, inviting you to create your Gradintelligence account. You will have 30 days to create your account before the link in the email expires.

Once you have created your Gradintelligence account, you will be able to access your HEAR at any point in the future at https://gradintel.com. This means you will never need to pay for a replacement or duplicate copy.

You can also permit prospective employers, universities and other education providers to view your HEAR and check your credentials online.

If you have any questions about your Gradintelligence account once you have received your invitation to set it up, please contact customerservices@gradintel.com.

For students who completed their studies before 2023 or who aren't eligible for an online HEAR:

  • Paper HEAR documents will continue to be issued to a minority of students who meet certain criteria, either directly or via their partner institution as applicable. Duplicate or replacement versions of paper HEARs continue to be available via the University online shop.
  • If you are not eligible for a HEAR but still require formal confirmation of your studies, you will be sent a paper transcript upon request by post.
