Finding your way around campus

When you first arrive, it can be a bit disorientating, but it won’t take you long to find your way around campus and feel settled in.

Campus Map

It’s easy to find your way to, and around, our campus and buildings via our online interactive maps - so make sure you bookmark this as it is always handy.

If you need to find a room, just select any venue (e.g. Augustine House, North Holmes Road, or Medway Campus) and then type the number of the room you want into the search. The interactive map will locate your room and even plan the quickest route to get there. Many rooms also have 360 images attached so you can see what they look like.

Additionally, once you have your student timetable, you’ll find that each activity includes a link to its location on the interactive map.

The map also helps you search for the nearest toilet, café, printer and other useful facilities.

Finding your room

To help you find your seminars and lectures, you’ll be given a room code.

Rooms are usually numbered as follows:

  • The first Capital letter/s indicates the building name
  • The second letter or number indicates the floor i.e.: g or 0 = ground, f or 1 =first, s or 2 =second etc
  • The last number indicates the room number

For example:

  • ER.0.02 is Erasmus building, ground floor, room 2
  • Nf03 is Newton building, first floor, room 03

But note, some buildings are numbered differently.

If you’re having trouble finding your way around don’t worry, there are always plenty of people to ask for help as well as the i-zone help desks on every campus.

Check out our 360 tour of Augustine House

Get familiar with the building before you even arrive.
