Our accommodation is close to our city campus and there’s lots of choice to suit you and your budget.

1. Live with other students and make friends for life

Moving from home for the first time can be a big part of life at uni but don’t worry, you’re not on your own! Living in our University accommodation means you’ll live with other first-year students who have moved to University for the first time, too.

In our student accommodation, you’ll have a single study bedroom in either a flat or a house and it can include up to eight other people. Most of our accommodation features a communal lounge and dining area so you can get together for meals and hang out watching your favourite TV shows. The perfect opportunity for you to make new friends!

2. Peace of mind - safety and security

Your new home will feature 24-hour security, on-site or a short call away, and you can keep in contact with our Security team using our free SafeZone app.

During the first few weeks following main arrivals we run a mini-bus service, which loops between the city centre and student accommodation throughout the night. There are Street Marshals to keep an eye out for you, and even give you a free pair of flip flops to make it easier to walk home!

Student Accommodation Champions also live in each of our accommodation blocks. They’re second year, third year and postgraduate students who have been through the experience before! They’re on hand to help you settle in and support you during your time living at uni.

What's really fantastic about living in uni accommodation is that all my friends are just a floor away from me. It's also great that I am only a 10 minute walk to the University, a two minute walk to the library and a five minute walk into town. I wouldn't trade it for the world!

3. No summer rent or bills

Our contracts are approximately 39 weeks, so you can move out and stop paying at the end of June. This gives you the opportunity to spend the summer working, volunteering and travelling. If you’d like to stay for longer, you can request an extension.

4. You could stay on throughout your studies

Living in Uni accommodation is the best way of adapting to independent living. You won’t have to worry about sorting out bills because all utility bills and insurances are included in the price! Before you look at moving into the private sector, you can speak to the accommodation team about the possibility of continuing to live in University accommodation.

5. Free and fast Wi-Fi

All accommodation has free Wi-Fi, meaning you’ll be able to keep on top of your studies and up-to-date with what's happening.

6. Your room is guaranteed

As a first year undergraduate who has firmly accepted an offer of a place to study with us, you’re guaranteed a room in our University accommodation. All you need to do is visit our website, view the accommodation options available to you and apply!

Make sure you submit your application before the deadline on 31 July to be guaranteed accommodation. If you are coming to us through Clearing we try and keep accommodation available for you.
