As a new postgraduate student there are lots of opportunities to meet other like-minded students and become part of a wider friendly and diverse postgraduate community.
Welcoming students of all ages and backgrounds, the Graduate College provides a friendly, diverse and creative environment for your studies.
The Graduate College provides oversight and support for all of our postgraduate students at Christ Church whilst also administering our postgraduate research degrees. Additionally, the Graduate College runs the Researcher Development Training Programme, providing many educational and training workshops, as well as social events, thesis writing boot camps and wellbeing sessions.
We have postgraduate peer mentors who are keen to support their fellow students and share their insights, provide advice on what resources are available and connect you to the Christ Church academic community.
They can support new postgraduate students before they arrive via email and once you start would be happy to meet up, show you around campus and just have a chat to see how you are getting on.
We also have a Postgraduate Research Association where our research students can connect with each other, share knowledge and exchange views. The Association arranges a series of seminars and an annual conference to support interdisciplinary learning and knowledge sharing.
As a Christ Church student, you automatically become a member of the Students’ Union and the Union is keen to support and represent you. Their Union council includes a postgraduate officer to ensure your student voice is heard and you can have your say about what is important to you.
