The International Student Success Programme is offered by Epigeum, which is part of Oxford University Press. It has been created in collaboration with students from universities across the UK, including staff and students at Canterbury Christ Church University.

The programme provides practical advice on preparing to live and study in the UK and will help you prepare for academic and social expectations. The programme also offers guidance on communicating with peers, building your confidence and resilience, as well as strategies for good wellbeing and mental health.

The International Student Success Programme has been tailored and made for international students and is therefore not appropriate or accessible to our Home students. However, we have plenty of support materials, guidance, and modules available throughout the Learning Skills Hub to support all of our Canterbury Christ Church University students.

The programme is appropriate for all international students regardless of the length of time you are due to study with us.

Studying abroad can be intimidating. This interactive and engaging International Student Support toolkit from Epigeum helps you prepare for your new life in the UK. The resources contain advice and information on topics such as visas, homesickness, and healthcare – everything you need to know to help you settle and adjust quickly to student life in Canterbury. The programme will provide you with practical tips, real student voices and engaging ‘myth-busting’ exercises to help you prepare for your life and studies at Canterbury Christ Church University

Modules in the programme include:

• Preparing for student life, adapting, and managing expectations
• Effective communication
• Looking after yourself and finding support

To get the most out of the content we recommend that you explore the resources before you travel to the UK so that you feel confident and happy when you arrive. You will still have continued access after you have completed your registration, so you will be able to return to the content and tips whenever you need them.
