Our Catapult Innovation Vouchers are aimed at encouraging industry academia partnerships to drive innovation, whether that be the development of new products, services or processes or accessing expertise to accelerate business growth. Available for small to medium-sized businesses (less than 250 employees), the vouchers enable you to harness the University’s cutting-edge academic expertise, research and state-of-the-art facilities through tailored advice and support.

The kind of activities that the vouchers can be used to fund include:

• Problem solving
• Engaging in feasibility studies
• Exploring a new business initiative, service or product
• Access to facilities and specialist equipment
• Knowledge transfer

A voucher can provide up to 50% of the total value of a project (maximum £5000, excl. VAT), with the business funding the remaining 50% (minimum). Applications for Catapult Innovation Vouchers will be considered and funded as and when they arise, subject to eligibility, availability of remaining funds and confirmation that any project proposed can be completed and signed-off within a specific time period.
