Your research supervisor should share your research interests and will guide and support you while you study.

Once you have identified your academic subject area and idea for your research project you should aim to make contact with potential supervisors.

Your supervisory team is a vital part of your research degree experience, so you should seek to identify academic supervisors whose interests complement and align with your own. As a research student it is your responsibility to work proactively with your supervisory team.

Your work will be reviewed and discussed annually at a progress review meeting, chaired by a senior researcher.
