Session 1 - Welcome to Childhood Studies

This session will provide students with an introduction to the Foundation Degree and BA Top up in Childhood Studies. It will outline the modules and routes students can take on this work based course. We will explore the concept of changing childhoods and discuss the opportunities this offers students to make valuable links between theory, research and practice.

Session 2 - Exploration of work based study

Talk to a member of the Childhood Studies Team and find out about the range of different creative projects and assessments that form the marked components of this course.

Session 3 - Practitioner or Researcher?

This seminar will introduce applicants to some of the key concepts within the field of Child Development. Drawing on student's valuable insights in practice and highlighting the core connections between practitioner and researcher.
