Dr Phil Larkin is Adjunct Associate Professor, ANZSOG School of Governance, University of Canberra, Australia, where he was previously Senior Lecturer in Public Policy and Associate Dean of the Faculty of Business and Government. He is currently engaged in research, commissioned by parliament, on innovations in Select Committee scrutiny and projects on methods of committee appointments. He previously worked as a committee specialist for the Trade and Industry Select Committee in the House of Commons, He is also an expert on Australian parliamentary committees and was Senior Policy Analyst, Australian Senate Select Committee on Fuel and Energy. Dr Larkin has published extensively on committee impact and reform. He currently holds a part time position in the Scrutiny Unit of the House of Commons.
