Project title
Marxism and Intersectionality
Supervisors: Professor David Bates, Dr Demtris Tillyris
Research Areas
- Marxism
- Feminism
- Intersectionality
My research looks to explore whether or not it is possible to form a working and collaborative relationship between theories such as Marxism and intersectionality, in order to utilise classical political ideologies in a contemporary context. My thesis will also look to explore whether or not a theory such as intersectionality is capable itself of adequately dealing with issues pertaining to race, class and gender.
