Here at the School of Law, Policing and Social Sciences we combine high quality teaching with the latest cutting-edge research. Our diverse team includes experts from their fields – all of whom are passionate about their subject and sharing their knowledge with others.

Whichever subject you choose to study, you will be supported by our team of experienced academics and practitioners, who will be on hand to guide and advise you during your time with us. We also regularly invite special guest speakers to share their experiences, and we work closely with professional organisations to ensure that our courses are well-rounded, and relevant to the world of work.

Research and Knowledge Exchange

As a School, we are actively involved in a range of exciting research and knowledge exchange projects. As well as our ongoing Policing and Cybercrime Investigation work, we have also carried out research in Kenya, and we are currently working to support the Fire and Rescue Services in the UK.

These activities are an important part of our work, and are an essential part of helping us to share our knowledge and expertise with others.  Our research also enriches our teaching, as we are able to draw on our experiences to give our courses an even more practical and applied focus.
