Profile summary

I graduated in Economics at the University of Pavia (Italy) in 2014 and I have studied Diplomacy at the Institute for International Political Studies (Istituto di Studi di Politica Internazionale, ISPI) in Milan, where I graduated the year after. Over the last few years I have been very active in various Think Tanks and NGOs, particularly in the Rome-based political studies centre "Fondazione Luigi Einaudi" and in the Union of European Federalists (UEF-Europe) and the Young European Federalists (JEF-Europe).

My passion for Political Science comes from these non-curricular activities. Thanks to that experience I had the chance to participate in the 2014 edition of the CCCU Summer School on ‘Federalism, Multinationalism and the Future of Europe’, where I got in touch with my supervisor Dr. Soeren Keil and with one of the most preeminent scholars in Federal Studies: Prof. Michael Burgess. All those steps led me to the choice of doing a PhD.

For the Academic Year 2015-16 I am Studentship holder at the CCCU Jean Monnet Centre (CEFEUS), under the supervision of Dr. Amelia Hadfield.

My research interests are: European federalism, asymmetrical and symmetrical federalism, multi-speed EU integration, federalism and political ideologies.
