Professor A. C. Grayling Lecture

On Tuesday the 26th September the School of Humanities, the Centre for European Studies, Making Politics Matter and Whitstable Sceptics presented a public lecture by Professor Grayling of the New College of the Humanities.

After the CEFEUS sponsored pre-lecture reception, the Michael Berry Lecture Theatre was full of people interested in hearing the keynote that was entitled ‘Brexit: The Next Steps in the Fight Against It’. Professor Grayling spoke from his own experiences and knowledge in the context of Brexit and provided highly detailed insights on the actual steps individuals can take, in his opinion, to fight against Brexit.

The humour tied into the lecture encouraged the audience to participate and the event concluded in a discussion and Q&A between the participants and Professor Grayling. After the lively discussion, the participants had a chance to get their books signed by Professor Grayling. All in all, the event was a great start for what will be an eventful and interesting semester here at Canterbury Christ Church University.
