Conference Aims:
The purpose of the 7th Global Entrepreneurship and Innovation Conference (GEIC) is to bring entrepreneurs, practitioners, academics, researchers and policy makers together to actively shape an inclusive and sustainable future. As entering into the new decade, GEIC 2020 aims to empower participants to engage in strategic dialogues and debates around best entrepreneurship & innovation practice in relation to emerging technologies across organisations, institutions, countries and global markets.
Conference Theme:
We live in a world that is experiencing unprecedented change and a seismic shift in the technological development process. To understand these changes and better envisage the future this conference addresses the questions:
- How do entrepreneurs drive changes in the global marketplace?
- What are the emerging and revolutionary technologies that are influencing the marketplace?
- What is the role of non-technological innovation, such as new business models and marketing innovations in a firm’s business development and success?
High profile academics, well known entrepreneurs and politicians will join GEIC 2020 for keynote speech. The list of keynote speakers will be informed in the second round of Call for Papers.
Call for Papers:
We invite submissions that offer perspectives based around these main themes/tracks:
- Global Entrepreneur Forum
- Welcome real-life entrepreneurs’ story telling and presentation
- Entrepreneur case studies, the role and impact, success factors, characteristics & behavioural patterns, practice and research
- TechnologyInnovation
- For example: disruptive technologies and innovation, current technological innovation management issues and the sociology of innovation.
- How entrepreneurs use emerging technologies like Blockchain / Cryptcurrency, Artificial Intelligence / Machine Learning, Internet of Things (IoT) to create the future business economy and society
- Non-technological Innovation
- For example: Business model innovation, innovative managerial approaches, customer/supplier relationship innovation models etc.
- Sociology of innovation: how cultures influence the diffusion of innovation? What factors influence the green innovation? How to develop innovation ecosystems?
- Future Perspectives
- For example: visions of future businesses operations and structures, future products & services and future societies.
- PhD Workshop
- Welcome conceptual papers, short papers and PhD project poster demo in the areas of the above four themes
Paper submission: All conference papers will be peer reviewed and selected for acceptance and publication in the conference proceedings. A selection of high-quality conference full papers will be submitted for special issues at ABS ranked journals, Journal of Business Venturing and the Journal of Entrepreneurship in Emerging Economies. Best Paper Awards for each track.
