Canterbury Christ Church University is hosting its first fundraising day with fun-packed events and activities for all.

The initiative will take place over 36-hours both online and at the Canterbury Campus where staff, students, alumni, and the community can get involved in a variety of activities and learn more about expertise and facilities at the University.

Events include free massages, escaping reality through VR,, a scavenger hunt and the Great Christ Church Bake Off. There will be a simulation suite bingo and resuscitation challenge with our health teams in our STEM building, a climate escape room with sustainability, as well as an event where staff, students and alumnus’ will take part in the Gunge Tank Challenge.

Donations will go towards supporting students during the cost-of-living crisis via the Futures Fund in support of student hardship, or through the gift education through Futures Scholarships. The first £5,000 of donations will be matched by a generous CCCU graduate, doubling their impact.

We are excited to launch our first-ever Futures Day bringing together staff, students, alumni, and the wider community to make a difference for those students who need our help financially to support their future. Futures is brilliant new initiative aimed at building a community of alumni, local business, supports, and students, all connected to create opportunities, raise aspirations, and transform lives, and we hope this day is the first of many more to come.
