Christ Church continues to work towards promoting racial equity in Higher Education, Black History Month provides the opportunity to pause, reflect, build collective solidarity and celebrate the contributions that individuals from the Black community make to our society.
Last year the University adopted a 365 approach (BH365) in acknowledgment that the Black community should be celebrated and appreciated throughout the year, not just in the month of October, and that Black History is very much a part of our history. The University is committed to continuing this approach for the forthcoming year.
The national theme for Black History is ‘Proud to Be’.
The University is hosting a series of webinars and activities that will include guest speakers from the Black community, Allies and pioneers in racial equity.
