Canterbury Student Radio (CSR) won Best Station Sound at this year's Student Radio Awards 2021

Celebrating 30 years, the Student Radio Awards took place at the O2 Indigo Arena this month, supported by BBC Sounds and Global.  

The University’s Film, Radio and Television Students Luke Finch and Enric Their, are part of the CSR team who won Gold in the Best Station category. Luke is Head of Music at the radio station and also runs a Friday night show, Bored in the House.  

Luke said: “It was an absolute honour to work with CSR upon achieving this award. The hard work from everyone over lockdown really paid off and it was fantastic seeing the station grow. Phenomenal things coming!”

Enric also commented on their success. He said: “This award has shown just how well hard work can pay for itself. I am so grateful for being able to live my dream of being a radio presenter.” 

CSR is a Community and Student Radio based in Canterbury.
