CourseLoop has donated £10,000 to help fund a Games Design student as part of Canterbury Christ Church University’s Futures Scholarships.

The end-to-end curriculum management system company are supporting the University’s first fundraising initiative, by helping Louise Hattersley, who started BA (Hons) Games Design in September.

Louise will benefit from the financial support of the Futures Aspire Scholarship, but also from the support and guidance of a Futures Coach, to build her confidence and aspirations, as she progresses through her degree.

Louise said: “I aim to fully utilise each aspect of this scholarship in my time at the University. Being awarded the scholarship has helped fuel my motivation and my hope for the future is to inspire and help children to follow their true passions. I’m incredibly grateful to CourseLoop for providing me with this opportunity”.

Futures Scholarships launched in February 2023, with the aim of providing vital support to students through scholarships, financial support during their studies, and access to alumni volunteers who can help them to aspire and achieve their life and career goals.

Rob Bild, Managing Director at CourseLoop said: “Our definition of what it is to be a partner extends far beyond ensuring our technology does the job it needs to do for the universities we support. Everything we do is driven by our commitment to make a difference to our partners and, most importantly, their students. For this reason, we’re delighted to be supporting a Future Aspire scholar.”

Sara Scriven, Head of Fundraising at the University, added: “We’re incredibly grateful for the support they will be providing to Louise throughout her time at the university. Our Futures Scholarships have a life changing impact for the students who receive them, and we look forward to introducing CourseLoop to Louise as she progresses through her time at the University.
