Profile summary

I joined Canterbury Christ Church University in August 2022 having previously worked as the Head of Technology Enhanced Learning at the University of Kent.  I am an experienced Higher Education professional, having worked in the sector for over seventeen years. During this time, I have successfully occupied roles as an educator, manager, and leader.

In my role as Assistant Director: Digital Learning, I manage the TEL team and take a leading role in developing and implementing the University’s Learning and Teaching Strategy as part of its strategic framework for 2030. I am responsible for ensuring that staff and students at the University have the capabilities, confidence, and motivation to make the very best use of technology in learning, teaching, and assessment.

Alongside this, I am undertaking a PhD in Higher Education Research at Lancaster University; my research focuses on the ethical implications of educational technology.  I am a Senior Fellow of the Higher Education Academy (SFHEA), a Senior Certified Member of the Association for Learning Technology (SCMALT), and an elected member of the Heads of E-Learning Forum (HeLF) Steering Group.

Outside of work, I am a competitive fell runner, having taken part in many ultra-distance endurance races and events.
