Welcome

The Faculty of Arts, Humanities and Education at Canterbury Christ Church University is a key provider of teacher education and professional development across Kent, Medway and surrounding areas. The Faculty is highly regarded and recognised for its work.

Commencing this pathway with us is the beginning of a long-term relationship with all partners working together to transform the education and lives of children. We hope that once successful in your aim of achieving Qualified Teacher Status, you will want to think about deepening your understanding of your educational role by undertaking further qualifications with us.

You can find out more by visiting our web pages which introduce our Masters and Doctoral courses.

Getting started

After the initial visit meeting to set up your action plan, you will move forward with your individualised activities over the designated 12 week period. Be sure to plan time into your calendar in the coming weeks to record your evidence of progress and upload it to PebblePad, in preparation for the assessments.

Pre-course reading

Prior to starting, you may wish to explore some texts relevant to your phase and discipline areas to support your development and reflections. Discuss this with your AO Coordinator, the visiting tutor, and your colleagues.

It is useful to note that the University Bookshop offers 10% discount on most titles in print and have some price-beating book bundles. They also price match Amazon on core texts recommended in the module handbooks you will receive when you start in September.
