You need to register in order to officially become a Canterbury Christ Church University student and start your studies.
Online registration generally opens via MyRecord between 6-7 weeks before teaching starts, for students who have met the conditions of their offer. Look out for the email titled 'Invitation to online registration'.
As well as the online registration, all students sponsored under the Student Route and students who are non-UK nationals will need to attend an in-person document check with our Admissions team.

What do I need to bring with me?
If you’re an international student sponsored via the Student Route, you’ll need to bring:
- Your passport, including visa vignette
- Biometric Residence Permit (collect it from the Post Office before coming to Augustine House)
- Your original qualifications
If you used the Gov.UK’s ID Check App to make your visa application, you should also provide a share code when you see us in person.
If you’re a non-UK national without a Student Route Visa, you’ll need to bring:
- Your passport or other valid ID document
- Your valid leave to remain for the UK. This might be a share code, depending on how you made your last visa application
Please note
Until we have done your document checks you will be unable to:
- access materials related to your studies on our virtual learning environment Blackboard
- get your student smartcard
- get a status letter confirming you are a Canterbury Christ Church University student
You will however be able to
- attend your classes and
- create your Canterbury Christ Church University computing account.
