Teacher Education - Malaysia B.Ed

Pre-Service B.Ed. TESL Programme for Malaysian Teacher.

The Centre for Language and Linguistics has been involved in the pre-service education of Malaysian teachers of English since 1983 in partnership with the Malaysian Ministry of Education.

In the current programme, which involves three other UK universities and five Malaysian Institutes of Teacher Education, students study for the first 3 years of the programme in Canterbury and for a fourth year in our partner teacher education institute in Kuala Lumpur, Institut Pendidikan Guru Kampus Bahasa Antarabangsa.

In addition to the academic programme, the project also involves collaborative staff development, research and capacity building.
