A photographic exhibition by artist, Black-activist and CCCU Photography PhD student Michi Masumi, with images from the first ever Black on the Square event in London. The show reflects the theme "Saluting our Sisters" with large format colour photographs of Black women sharing positive affirmations, as well as documentary images of the day, acknowledging and celebrating Black female role models and emphasising the vital role Black women have played in shaping history, inspiring change and building communities. This exhibition will be in the Verena Holmes Gallery (ground floor, Verena Holmes Building) from Monday 2 October 2023 to Friday 23 February 2024.
