Wills are a great way to start learning how to read ‘old handwriting’, as well as finding out about the lives of ordinary people – their beliefs, what they had in their houses, and many other things. Each workshop comprises reading a will in a co-operative atmosphere and exploring ideas about how to use wills to research past communities.
