Research focus

Our School has a strong research, and this is reflected in the broad range of themes we cover, from biomolecular science to ecology, and sport.

We are also home to the University’s Centre for Sport, Physical Education and Activity Research (SPEAR), which undertakes a rich diversity of research from internationally-recognised Olympic and Paralympic projects to research into physical education, physical activity and sport in schools and the community.

All of our research feeds directly into our teaching, ensuring that our courses are relevant and applied in nature, reflecting the latest developments in the field.
