This workshop provides an opportunity to work with academics and/or postgraduate ambassadors from the Business School and Tourism, Hospitality and Events.

This innovative, interdisciplinary three-hour workshop provides students with the opportunity to work with academics and/or postgraduate ambassadors from the Business School and Tourism, Hospitality and Events. The first two-hour session with the Business School introduces students to the challenges and opportunities associated with starting a new business, how to move from passion or delivering a service to running it as a business. They are equipped with insights into common pitfalls and empowered with the skills to put their plans into action. For the final hour students join academics from Tourism, Hospitality and Events to put their new-found knowledge to the test as they design and pitch their creative tourism or events business in “the den”.
