In this interactive in-depth three-hour workshop with an academic and/or postgraduate ambassadors, students will develop their understanding of the CDIO (conceive, design, implement, operate) process which underpins CCCU’s progressive approach to computing and engineering learning. Through this session students will, depending on Key Stage, develop or deepen their understanding of software development as they apply their knowledge to the development of an app to “make life better”. Working individually or in small groups students will take a user-centred approach to designing their app, considering the purpose of the app and their intended audience.

The complexity of the explanation and content of this workshop is adapted to ensure age/stage appropriate delivery.
