In this two-hour masterclass students will develop their knowledge of the kinds and amount of data that is attached to their digital footprint

In this two-hour masterclass with an academic and/or postgraduate ambassadors, students will develop their knowledge of the kinds and amount of data that is attached to their digital footprint. They will deepen their understanding of how digital data is collected and critically consider how it is used by businesses and in algorithms to inform the service and information we received online. Equipped with this background knowledge students will take an in depth look into how social media companies use big data to understand users and fuel their success.

The complexity of the explanation and content of this workshop is adapted to ensure age/stage appropriate delivery.
