'Exploring and identifying social determinants of mental health among pregnant women in Nepal.'

Biographical note

Lalita is a medical doctor registered with the Nepal Medical Council, Nepal.  She completed her Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of Surgery (MBBS) with distinction from Zhengzhou University in China, after which she completed an internship in Koshi Zonal Hospital and worked as a Medical Officer in Dhanusha Hospital, Nepal. After coming to the UK, she completed an MSc with merit in Public Health from London Metropolitan University. In her MSc dissertation, she conducted an empirical research on the mental health and wellbeing of the older Nepalese population in the UK. She is currently a PhD student and sessional lecturer at Canterbury Christ Church University. Her academic interests are focussed on teaching and research in health and wellbeing.
