Have you volunteered at any point since 1 September 2023? Then you should log your volunteer hours now for a chance to win an award!

If you have been volunteering, now is the time to log your hours so that you have the chance to win a Bronze (50hrs), Silver (100hrs), Gold (150hrs), Platinum (250hrs) or Diamond award (350hrs). CCCU Volunteering Awards (Certificate and LinkedIn Badge) look excellent on your CVs and in your search for Graduate Roles. Awards for 2023/24 can only be awarded during this period so don't miss the chance to log those hours.

On Wednesday 29 May we will be hosting a celebration event for the Golden Apples (Students nominating Staff), The GradForce Awards, the Student Voice Awards (Reps, Union Council, Peer Mentoring), as well as the Student Volunteering Awards.

Want to know which award you would get for your hours - start logging to find out!

The deadline for logging your hours is Thursday 25th April!

Thinking about volunteering?

There are lots of great reasons to volunteer, including...

  • Develop skills for the future.
  • Improve your employability.
  • Improve your wellbeing.
  • Give back to the community.
  • Get involved in a cause that matters to you.

There are a range of opportunities on the Christ Church Volunteering Platform for students to volunteer in the University and local community or email the team at volunteering@canterbury.ac.uk to find the perfect fit for you.

Are you comfortable on camera? We are looking for volunteers who are happy to be filmed for short videos for social media to show where you have been volunteering this year and help spread the word about logging your hours. If you are interested, please email volunteering@canterbury.ac.uk  and we can arrange a time that suits you.
