Volunteering through CCCU completely changed my life. In my second year I was struggling with finding a path and was considering a few different options, when this opportunity to volunteer for PACT came along. I have now found where I want to go in life and where I know I can best help individuals and their families. This would not have been possible without the help and support of the Meg and the rest of the volunteering team at CCCU.

An opportunity to... Say thank you!

We also want to use this opportunity to say a massive thank you to all our current student volunteers! You do amazing work that makes a real difference in our community.

Thank you to all of our student volunteers for all of the hard work you do balancing volunteering alongside your studies. Every effort you have made has not gone unnoticed and I look forward to giving out many volunteering awards at our celebration in May! Many hours have been logged by students working in the community staffing visitors centres in prisons, counselling victims of crime, and helping customers in charity shops and on telephone befriending services. Within the University our students have been helping at the Library’s StressLess events, mentoring their peers through our peer mentoring programme and assisting the Academy of Sustainable Futures. For the Student Union, our volunteers have been logging many hours as course and school representatives, union council and society committee work. I am incredibly proud to see all of the hard work our students have put in to making meaningful changes in the local community and across the University.
