Canterbury Gift Card - Terms & Conditions

Terms & Conditions under which an eligible participant Student may benefit from the following Incentives (“Offers”) provided by Canterbury Christ Church University (“The University”).

 Canterbury Gift Card - Eligibility criteria.

  • To be eligible for the Offer, the Participants must be:
    • new undergraduate students (Level 0, Level 4) starting in September 2024 on Canterbury Campus; and
    • must be fully or temporarily registered, (domestic and /or international) with the University;
    • registered with the University within the deadline of Friday 20 September 2024 at 16:00hrs.
    • International students must have received confirmation of payment of their tuition fee deposit.
    • Students transferring into the University on level 0 or attending the University for a Top up course.
  • The following students are NOT eligible to participate:
    • Apprenticeship students or L7 students.
    • Students who have already benefitted under this scheme or the Medway Voucher incentive scheme offered by the University
    • Late arrivals and late registrations after the deadline of 20 September 2024.
  • The University reserves sole discretion to consider students with exceptional circumstances and decide the eligibility of such student(s).
  • The Offer is as stated, and no other alternatives will be offered.
  • The Offer is not transferable.

Canterbury Gift Card – terms of use.

  • The Gift card is only valid for 2 years from date of issue and will expire on 31 August, 2026.
  • The monetary value of the Gift Card is £25
  • The Gift Card can be used in an established list of 100+ businesses in Canterbury city centre.
  • The Gift card must be collected in person from Canterbury Campus in person from Monday 16 September to Friday 20 September, 2024 between the hours of 10:00 – 16:00.

Medway Voucher- Eligibility criteria.

  • To be eligible for the Offer, the Participants must be:
    • new undergraduate students (Level 0, Level 4) starting in September 2024 on Medway Campus; and 
    • must be fully or temporarily registered, (domestic and /or international) with the University;
    • registered with the University within the deadline of Friday 20 September 2024 at 16:00hrs.
    • International students must have received confirmation of payment of their tuition fee deposit.
  • Students transferring into the University on level 0 or attending the University for a Top up course.
  • The following students are NOT eligible to participate:
  • Apprenticeship students or L7 students.
  • Students who have already benefitted under this scheme or the Canterbury Gift Card scheme offered by the University
  • Late arrivals and late registrations after the deadline of 20 September 2024.

About the Medway Voucher

  • This voucher is only Valid for 3 years from the date of issue and will expire on 31 August 2027.
  • The Monetary value of the Gift Card is £25
  • The Gift Card can be used in an established list of 500+ UK based businesses.
  • The Gift card will be emailed to accepted registered students by week commencing 23 September, 2024.

Data Protection and Privacy

The University will process your personal data in line with its’s Privacy Policy available in Student Privacy Notice - Canterbury Christ Church University . You consent to the University processing your personal data for the purpose of administering the Offer under this incentive.

Limitation of liability and liability cap

The University shall not be liable for any failure to comply with its obligations under this Terms and Conditions, where such failure is caused by something outside its reasonable control, including but not limited to technical failures, unauthorised intervention, or force majeure events.

Under no circumstances the University’s liability shall exceed in the aggregate the amount of the Offer (i.e. the Gift Card or the Voucher).

Termination

The University reserves the right to Terminate this incentive scheme at any time and at its sole discretion.
