The processes for design, development, approval and review of courses are set out in the following pages, together with what to do when changing the status of a course.

These processes have been designed to ensure the University meets its responsibilities for setting and maintaining academic standards, and assuring and enhancing the quality of learning outcomes.

PERIODIC course (and Partnership)
REVIEW (PCR) 

Courses are usually approved for 6 years. Periodic review must occur before the expiry of this period. All courses and partnerships must undergo Periodic Course (and Partnership) Review.
