Senior lecturer in Careers and Guidance and feminist researcher in careers.

I am a senior lecturer in Careers and Guidance, leading and teaching on the Postgraduate Diploma in Career Development. My professional background is as a careers practitioner and coach and I hold an MSc in Coaching from University of East London. I am feminist researcher currently undertaking a PhD examining the role of feminism in careers practice. My wider research interests focus on marginalised voices, oppression and inequality.

In addition to the above, I lead modules and teach at all levels on BA (Hons) Counselling, Coaching and Mentoring. I am interested in understanding what works in helping relationships and investigating issues surrounding power, diversity and ethics in practice. From 2019 to August 2023, I was course director for the Education Foundation Year. I worked with colleagues to design and validate a new Arts, Humanities and Education Foundation Year which began in September 2023.

I have been lecturing at CCCU since January 2019. Prior to this I lectured at University of Kent.

I am currently undertaking a PhD exploring the relationship between feminism and careers practice. 

I am a Board member and Director of Educational Quality Management for the Network for Innovation in Career Guidance and Counselling in Europe (nice-network.eu).
