Meeting the conditions of your offer

To become a fully registered student at Christ Church and begin your studies with us there may be some academic conditions and clearance checks that you will need to meet and complete.

Our friendly Admissions team are available to guide you on what you need to do, so you can be confident that you have all you need to start your course.

The academic conditions of your offer and checks are unique to you and are dependent on your chosen course and level of study.

  • For academic conditions of your offer please see UCAS, UCAS Teacher Training or MyRecord. Please note that we will need to see evidence of qualifications (including in some cases GCSEs) as part of your registration - failure to show proof of qualifications will mean that you have not satisfied the conditions of your offer
  • For clearances specific to your offer please check your MyRecord

Clearance checks could include the following:

All students who will be working unsupervised with children or vulnerable adults must gain an enhanced disclosure certificate from the Disclosure and Barring Service before starting their course.

You will be prompted via your MyRecord if you are required to complete this Clearance check.

For further information check out our DBS Guidance.

All students on Education or Health and Social Care courses need to attain Occupational Health clearance to ensure they are fit to practice.

You will be prompted via your MyRecord from June to complete an online questionnaire if you are required to complete this Clearance check.

For further enquiries about the occupational health check once you have submitted your questionnaire, please email cccustudents@ohworks.co.uk.

If you are an international student joining us to study at Canterbury Christ Church University, you will likely require a visa from the UK Visas and Immigration (UKVI) in order to study in the UK. If you’re unsure if you need a visa to study in the UK, you can access guidance here.

Applying for a visa from the UKVI requires planning and preparation. Before you can make an application with UKVI for your visa, you must receive a CAS (Confirmation of Acceptance of Studies) from the University. It is important this information is accurate, and the University has a compliance process in place to guide you through these steps.

You will find important information here to help you prepare for a successful application.

Logging in to MyRecord

Until you have completed your online registration and created your computing account, you should use the 'Applicant Login' option to log in to MyRecord.

  • Your username is your Student ID (you will find at the top of the email inviting you to register) or the email address you used for your application
  • Your password is the password you chose yourself if you’ve used MyRecord already. If this is the first time you have used MyRecord, or you can't remember your password, just click on the 'Forgotten your password?' button to get it re-set

We are excited that you will be starting your journey with us here at CCCU and please do get in contact with our friendly and approachable Admissions team if you have any questions about your application, clearance checks or academic conditions of your offer.
