Welcome

The Doctorate of Education provides an opportunity for professionals in education, and other areas, to study for this award in a way that acknowledges, and is grounded upon, the recognition of professional knowledge. A professional doctorate indicates a high level of professional competence, which embraces a capacity for rigorous investigation informed by theory and practice. Through the intense study of these and other key concepts, the degree will induct you into doctoral work and support you in developing the deep subject knowledge, rich pedagogical knowledge and intellectual strategies necessary to produce research, both at the module and thesis stage, that will withstand the scrutiny of other professionals and researchers.

We are confident you will find the experience of studying at doctoral level highly stimulating and deeply rewarding. We look forward to working with you throughout your studies.

Your welcome and induction will be w/c 16 September 2024 - we look forward to meeting you then.
