Embark on a programme of transformation unlike any other with “Standing in My Power” THRIVE: A Journey of Black Excellence—our newly launched Black Leadership intiative at Canterbury Christ Church University.

In collaboration with CCCU’s Closing our Gap initiative and Elevated Minds, we've designed this programme to provide the space for Black and Black Mixed Heritage students to connect with peers, build community, enhance academic skills and reach your full potential.

This year the programme is only open to Black and Black Mixed Heritage undergraduate students studying within the Faculty of Science, Engineering and Social Sciences. However, don’t worry as from next year it will be open to Black and Black Mixed Heritage students across all faculties.

What to expect:

Over the next five weeks, Canterbury Christ Church University and Elevated Minds will collaborate to present a series of transformative sessions to help you embrace your superpower:

  • Session 1: Black Joy (Unapologetically Black) – 28 March, 1pm
