MSc Biotechnology

I have completed an MSc in in Biotechnology from the Central Department of Biotechnology, Tribhuvan University, Nepal, where I have received a gold medal for academic excellence in 2017. My master’s dissertation was focused on “Expression and localization of fluorescently tagged t-SNARE syntaxin 4 in immune cells”. After gaining my masters I worked in screening medicinal plants for the inhibition of digestive enzymes and the development of an immunofluorescence based assay for biotechnology produced antibodies. After that I worked as a research assistant in the Nepal Academy of Science and Technology.

I am currently a research technician at SCRABEL. I have a keen interest in working with stem cells and their potential. I am currently working on the effects of Vitamin D on stem cells differentiation. I also have a keen interest in establishing 3D cell culture and have attended a 3D printing and bio-fabrication course at Utrecht University.
