Managing anxiety around exams and other assessment activities

You’ve got organised, you are planning your work and practising different tasks but what else can you do to manage your worries?

Remember that it is important to try to look after yourself.

Balancing your studies with other activities is vital to help keep feelings of anxiety at bay. Take time out of your study schedule to relax and have fun. Use your weekly planner or revision schedule to monitor your study sessions and try to maintain boundaries between study time and your relaxation time. Be kind to yourself and reward your efforts as you work through your assignment preparation or your revision.

It is important to remember that feelings of anxiety around exam time or deadlines are very common but if it feels as if your anxiety is beginning to go beyond what might usually be expected in these situations, then please seek help as soon as possible by making contact with your tutors, the Student Wellbeing Team or your GP.
