In the beautiful surroundings of St Gregory’s Centre for Music, experience an illustrated journey through the plucked instrumental traditions of Medieval and Renaissance England featuring music not heard for five hundred years. Chat to Jeff Alexander about the music and instruments after the demonstration.

Jeff Alexander is a Professor of Guitar at Christ Church Canterbury University and has been teaching there for over 40 years. He is known for his wide-ranging performing career, including music for lute and guitar, and Latin American music. He also performs with his group Open Water, which has been featured in the Canterbury Festival.

This event is part of CCCU's activities for the Canterbury Medieval Pageant and Trail 2025.
