The careers team is hosting an online interview preparation session where you can get insider tips and tricks to succeed in an interview.

How do you prepare for an interview? When do you start preparing? What should you take with you? Find out in our employability workshop

An interviewer wants to see someone who is prepared. Someone who knows about the company, the role, what they want and what they can do. So how do you make sure that is you?

The Careers team (who all have previous experience as interviewers) will be holding an online interview preparation session where we will discuss frequent questions, insider tips and tricks and a basic to-do list on interview preparation.

We will discuss:

How to prepare: What information do you need to know, where you should be looking for that information and what information will help you best prepare for the questions or tasks.

The Interview Task: In-tray exercises, role-plays and presentations VS assessment centres. What are they looking for from each and can you use them to show your skills?

The Basics: Dress code, punctuality and what to bring on the day.

Questions: What questions should you ask at the end? How many you should ask and what questions do employers not want to be asked?

Post-interview: When will you hear? When do you raise the questions on salary, start dates or remote working?

This in-person event is for current CCCU students, staff and recent Alumni.
