Students report positive feedback in National Student Survey
Results from the National Student Survey (NSS) have revealed 78% overall satisfaction for final-year undergraduate students.
We’re working hard to enrich our students’ experience, open opportunities in education and beyond, and support student futures.
In 2023 we launched our new Futures initiative, which aims to support and empower students through expert mentorship, industry networking, placement opportunities, and community-funded scholarships.
We also introduced a new Hawthorn Scholarship, which aims to support students into business leadership roles.
We were ranked in the top 25 nationally for social mobility in the English Social Mobility Index, which recognised our efforts in supporting our students to fulfil their ambitions. Delivering an inclusive education has been at the heart of our ethos for the last 60 years, and we take pride in preparing students from all backgrounds to start their careers in a wide range of sectors and industries.
This year, we achieved international accreditation by IChemE for our Chemical Engineering degrees which provides assurance of quality against high, international standards, and is reflective of how our partnerships with industry provide our students with exciting real-world projects that help to develop their technical and employability skills.
We have also launched a new suite of ultrasound courses that aim to enhance clinical skills and allow doctors to take their point of care ultrasound knowledge to a deeper level, designed to be flexible to so that healthcare professionals can increase their skillset while working full time.
We are delighted to have been awarded a second Silver award in the Teaching Excellence Framework (TEF) 2023.
The award reflects our focus on delivering a transformative experience for our students, helping them to realise their goals, discover their potential, and go on to successful future careers. We have a proud history of creating inclusive learning opportunities, and increasing social mobility by opening up access to education and knowledge.
The award also recognises the strength, creativity and dedication of our teaching staff and academics, who are deeply committed to providing the best possible education and outcomes for their students.
We will use this valuable feedback from our students to ensure the Canterbury Christ Church University community remains a vibrant, supportive, and transformative place to study.
