Session 1 - Welcome to Primary

This session discusses some of the exciting opportunities available to you on the Primary Education course and shares how we develop our curriculum to support you to become a teacher. We will discuss school experiences, alternative learning experiences and research opportunities in to areas of education you may be particularly interested in. It will also provide an opportunity to engage with practical learning opportunities focusing on primary education in schools.

Session 2 - Meet the team

Take some time to chat with our students and staff about the course content, the structure and how you best prepare for the transition to University.

Session 3 - Primary Science

Join us for a Science Forces session. We’ll introduce you to some Science pedagogy (how to teach) alongside subject knowledge.

While you take part in this session Parents / Partners/ Carers / Guests will be able to attend a separate question and answer session, delivered by Primary Education Academic Tutors, to provide additional guidance for parents / carers on studying to be a teacher at Christ Church.

Our students will be giving guided tours of the North Holmes Campus.
Duration: 40 minutes approx.
Time: Leaving every 10 minutes from 10:00-14:40 (last tour leaves at 14:40)

Our current students will be providing tours of the library so that you can get a first-hand experience of the resources and facilities available to you.

Drop in and look around the facilities – take a look at our state-of-the-art gym, fitness studios and incredible double sports hall. We offer an extensive range of sport, fitness and wellbeing opportunities. There truly is something for everyone with Christ Church Sport & Active Health.
