Planning your Canterbury Offer Holder visit

We're looking forward to meeting you and answering your questions about life and study at CCCU. Here you'll find everything you need to know before your visit to our Canterbury Campus.

How to get here

Like most cities, Canterbury's traffic can get busy so please allow plenty of time.

There will only be limited visitor parking on campus during the event, allocated on a first come, first served basis. 

Alternatively the city has a range of car parks or all-day Park and Ride services. 

  • New Dover Road (CT1 3EL) - open 7am to 7.10pm 
  • Sturry Road (CT1 1AD) - open 7.10am to 7.30pm 
  • Wincheap (CT1 3TQ) - open 7am to 7.20pm

Please note, there are three universities in Canterbury! Keep an eye out for ‘Canterbury Christ Church University’ signs and don’t follow those that just say ‘University’.

Disabled parking

Blue Badge holders may park in any of the designated parking spaces for disabled people in the University car parks, please see our Canterbury Campus map . Please remember to display your badge.

Canterbury has two rail stations - Canterbury East and Canterbury West, the latter of which is served by high-speed services from London. Both stations are within easy walking distance of the campus, taking around 15 minutes on foot, and both have taxi ranks outside.

Canterbury's bus station at Whitefriars is just a few minutes' walk from our campus and there are regular services reaching most of East Kent. National Express services also

Please visit the Stagecoach website for full information on local buses, and National Express for regional coach services.

Canterbury is served by National Cycle Network Routes 1, 16 and 18, and is an easy ride from villages and towns nearby. We have plenty of cycle parking around our Canterbury campus which also benefits from CCTV and on-site security.

We understand that you may incur costs visiting us and in recognition of the current economic climate, we would like to offer a £30 Amazon or VEX eVoucher as an appreciation of your visit. On the day, we will also be giving out refreshment vouchers to redeem in campus food outlets.

This offer applies to the following Offer Holder Events:

  • Canterbury Campus events on: Saturday 2 March, Wednesday 27 March and Saturday 27 April
  • Medway Campus event on: Saturday 20 April

eVouchers are issued approximately 10 working days after each event to those who meet the T&Cs, including registering your attendance, please see link above.

On the day

Register

When you arrive, please register your attendance in the Verena Holmes marquee. To do this, you will need your QR code which can be found on your pre-event email. Don’t worry if you forget your code, we’ll ask you to complete a quick form.

Check your itinerary and download the programme

Check your subject itinerary before the event as each subject will have three sessions, the content of each session will be different.

You can download the event programme in advance but don't worry, we will have printed copies at the event itself. 

Keeping safe

Please come prepared for the weather! Comfy shoes are a must as Offer Holder days typically involve a lot of walking and standing.
