A day-long celebration of the viola, including a public concert of new music for viola by Christ Church composers and a chamber music concert featuring the viola. In addition, there will be a masterclass, a technique clinic, viola ensemble playing and much more! All led by the University’s own internationally-acclaimed master of the instrument, Martin Outram. 11am: Concert of new music for viola by Christ Church composers; 2pm: Concert of chamber music featuring the viola. Note: the masterclass is open to all players aged 11+ and Grade 5 or above – including teachers.
