It seems like everyone is talking about the cost of living at the moment. Times are tough, but we're working hard to make things easier for our students.

Scholarships and bursaries

We have grants, scholarships and bursaries to help make University affordable and living costs achievable. You don't need to pay back these awards.

Examples of these are:

  • Canterbury Christ Church University Grant of £600 per year.
  • Care Leavers' Bursary to eligible undergraduate or PGCE (Initial Teacher Training). students. This amounts to £4,800 over four years of study.
  • Former students of one of our partner schools can apply for £500 per year.
  • Sports scholars (conditions apply) receive up to £1,500 per year.

Cheap food and free software

We're always thinking of ways to keep vital costs down for our students. That's why we offer:

  • free software (including Microsoft Office) through our CCCU App Store.
  • a range of healthy lunches for £3 or less
  • a full five item breakfast for £2.20.

An inclusive and supportive community

Wellbeing is a priority on campus. Alongside our professional support services, there are lots of ways you can meet other students in an informal, relaxed setting. Sometimes it helps so much just to talk to other people about your worries! Maybe you’ll meet a lifelong friend playing Scabble at our Chooseday Chill?

  • If you need some guidance, or experience any issues with finances or living costs, our friendly team of Student Support Advisers can help.
  • Events for students are a great way to make friends and find informal support.
